Swedish/Deep Tissue

Swedish massage is the most common form of bodywork which helps promote relaxation and involves light to firm pressure throughout the whole body. The experience you will have incorporates long, broad strokes that can calm the nervous system and oftentimes put you to sleep.

Deep Tissue bodywork utilizes a variety of techniques that can help with pain relief as well as releasing deep tension between muscles and connective tissue. Although this form of massage is more focus based, it is usually fused with that of a full body Swedish - unless both client and therapist decide otherwise.

Sarga/Ashiatsu

Sarga Photo.png

A Japanese form of bodywork where the practitioner uses their feet (ashi) to apply pressure (atsu) throughout the massage. This technique involves bars above the therapist’s head that they hold onto to help secure their positions while maneuvering themselves around the table - one foot on the client and the other on the table. Your experience involves smooth, broad myofascial and deep tissue strokes that can help break up the connective tissues throughout the whole body.

Sarga, a form of Ashiatsu, utilizes a long, silky fabric that is fastened underneath the table, instead of the bars above, and then wraps around the therapist to help provide strength and stability.

Sports Massage

This form of bodywork focuses more on specific areas for rehabilitation/recovery and/or improving soft tissue mobilization. Your experience will involve a mixture of effleurage, kneading, compressions, TPRs (trigger point releases) and assisted stretching. A great technique for those who have an active, physically demanding lifestyle through sports, their hobbies, and other activities. Not to be confused with Deep Tissue work, which normally involves a full body treatment vs specific areas.
